Only an old man would know what 'Low T' means. The rest of us had to look it up.

Pencil me in....got the days off but if a last minute order comes in I may have to shift what days I'm off.

At this point I'm thinking I'll bring the 4Runner, the 40 isn't up for sustained slow speed crawling-still running stock gears on 35's and clutch replacement is a pain

I might come too. I'll be off work and my sister (she lives there) will be about 3 weeks passed her due date for the new baby. That might be a good time to visit her. I know the area somewhat so I can take the Low T routes or find my own way around as necessary.

This trip is looking up. We can get people around pretty easy even if not wheeling hard.

Should get my buggy back next week, fresh rebuilt tranny ready for more pain.

Bumping this so the interest stays up. Mild snow last week but it did not accumulate.

Let's get a list of whose coming so I know what rigs are coming.

Lookin' good!

I got a AAA rate of $64/night at the Super 8 on the NE side of town for the 28th and 29th. 2 queens, indoor pool and hot tub, free continental breakfast, Wi-Fi. And it's in the parking lot of Wal-Mart and next to McD's.

I can't confirm if I'll be able to tag along or if I'll drive the 100 and take some Low T routes yet since the primary reason for going to Farmington is to visit my sister and see my new neice (born on Monday evening). My recollection of Choke-Cherry is there are lots of obstacles that are right off the main road/wash into the area so you have the option of sitting out obstacles until the others make their way back to the main road. And I If I can only come out for a few hours and drive on some easy stuff and then head back to my sister's house, then it's easy to do that too.

I'm putting on the overhead camper for myself and Brock. can we set up in the Glade Run area? don't know the rules on that.

It's BLM land so I don't see why it wouldn't be ok. I'm not sure who to check with to make sure though.

I thought Troutrunner might know. seems I heard of some rules on the subject. I'll do a search too.

found it...

Special Rules
• Ride only in areas or on trails open for use.
• All travel in the Limited OHV Area is restricted to maintained oilfield roads, on trails and two tracks that are designated and signed, or in dry, unvegetated wash bottoms that are wider than the widest part of your vehicle.

All overnight use requires a permit.
• Firewood gathering is prohibited.
• All shooting is prohibited.
• Permits are required for commercial, competitive and organized group events.

Most people camp at Brown's Spring. Its up Glade road and a good jump off point to run any of the trails. I was gonna say get a permit to camp. Just call the local office, I hear it is cheap. Don't mention your with a group, just messing around. We are not an organized group. Got it?

I think Marc's hotel is a good deal and should not be too sketchy. If anyone needs me to look at a hotel just let me know. Some can be wild, at least thats my impression when I listen to the scanner while I'm working.

I already had that thought. judging by the rules I already posted where it said "organized events".;)

I am unable to make the Choke Cherry trip. :frown:
