I'm game either way. I would lean towards everyone meeting at a bar it somewhere though. Let somebody else do the cooking and cleaning. :D

As a side note to anyone I'm going to see, I'm going to need moving boxes if anyone has any they'd like to get rid of. Spread the word around if ya can. I should be at the meeting Tuesday so I can pick up from there for anyone who might not be at any of the wrenching sessions or be able to make the get together Friday or Saturday night.

If you can wait till the farewell dinner I'll give you ALL the ones from our move. We have a ton.

Certainly. I'll take whatever I can get, whenever I can get them. Thanks Sam.

What I'm really curious about though, is can you really get completely unpacked THAT fast?! That's impressive in it's own right.

Once I load this moving truck up tomorrow and leave Macon, I'm never coming back!!!

I don't blame you! We moved out in the country like 30 min from downtown macon.

Just curious why you are packing yourself. This is a .mil PCS right?

Two reasons:
1) Last time I PCS'd, the military would not pay to move anything that wasn't considered "household goods". IE- Furniture, appliances, clothing, etc. Shop equipment, parts, and large toolboxes were not covered. 95% of the stuff I need to move falls into the latter category.
2) If I can work it out right, I can make a lot of money since I own my own moving truck and make my own fuel for it.

They wouldn't? Weird. I thought it was just by weight like me. I get 18,000 lbs single/married/kids/whatever. I recall growing up we had an 18,000 lb limit for the family of 6.

Are they going to pay you anything for the service?

Basically it is coming down to Steve's true schedule. Last I heard it is probable that he is going to be in town Friday night but that's not yet set in stone. The main purpose for his trip is to a sh*t ton of work on his trailer all week at John's boat shop with Saturday being the last day to get the thing wrapped up. I'd kinda hate to schedule a dinner for Saturday night and have Steve not done with this project.

All that said and pending Steve's Friday schedule it looks like the best thing to do is have a work day/dinner thingy for him whether that be Friday night and Saturday or just Saturday and then dinner Sat night etc...

All ideas are still on the table and feedback is hereby requested. My vote is to do a work Day Saturday and dinner Saturday night but I'm completely open.

And just to throw a monkey wrench into the equation there's a pseudo work day formulating at Ralph's for Sunday the 9th. Nothing major and no trail riding just reload firewood and do whatever he commands us to do so next weekend is going to be busy busy busy!!!

Well I can do either Friday or Saturday on the dinner but I def have to work Friday and may have to work Saturday as well. So I'm out on the wrench session.

Friday or Saturday night should work at this point. Considering all the work that I have to do, the majority of which will probably be Saturday when I have the most help, maybe Friday will be better at this point after all. Saturday may end up being a long day, I hate to say it.

I will not be able to get a lot done during the week; Tuesday I'll be offloading a bunch of furniture then trying to attend the GCC meeting and Wednesday night is a family event. So Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be the main work days. I'd REALLY appreciate anyone who could show up Wednesday - if I get the rig to the shop that day - or Thursday simply to help me in coming up with the best design for what I'm fabbing up. I have a basic plan already, but still need to finalize some things to know what remaining parts to get and where to mount things.

Fair well Steve! Only got to wheel a couple times with ya. First being a bitter sweet time. First to meet you and kinda was like wtf when I seen that big ugly yeller big rig. It sure was a sweet tow rig. That was at Tellico, so made a new friend but it was the first and last time I ever went. Gonna miss ya at GSMTR this year. Me and the wife are tagging along and riding shotgun for the trip and I was looking forward to catching a ride with you then Ted told me you would be gone. I like the enthusiasm you have while wheeling. It was funny watching you on lower 2 or was it upper 2 in the old red MacGyver ( what I call it lol). That winch setup was something else. I figured doing coal creek with you would be fun but now I'll have to ride with an old Lil lady like Ted :flipoff: Anyway enjoy the west coast and maybe in a couple years we can plan a trip out. I know it's on my agenda in the next few years. Getting anyone else is a crapshoot. Good luck and sorry cant make the meeting for ya. Fair winds and following seas!!

Thanks Chris. I'm sure I'll see ya on the trails again some day. Hell, Azck was talking about coming up Friday - y'all carpool!
