I am replacing the water pump and radiator on my 60. Should the fan clutch spin freely, mine is pretty sluggish. I read something about repacking it, has anybody done this? If so, what shoud I repack it with? Thanks

It doesn't spin "freely" as it is a viscous fluid coupling that gets thicker as it gets hotter. Turns more freely when it's cold.

As for repacking, search reveals a lot of threads on the fan clutch, general consensus is to not bother repacking just buy a new fan clutch from cruiserdan.

I actually bought the replacement oil as I thought I wanted to do this on my 62 but never did it... Still have the tubes in my garage if you're really bent on changing the oil in the clutch.
