fair price for headlight bezel?

hey guys, im in oz with a 1970 40 and am looking for a replacement headlight bezel. they're hard to come by and the only one i found was asking AU$250 raw which i wasnt happy to pay. mine has rust holes in it but if thats the price for a replacement il weld up my current one.

are they rare to come by in the states and if not what sort of price would you expect to pay for a rust free number?

i may be able to help, i know of a guy who has several wrecks out in the bush. will be calling him this week to arange picking up a roof doors etc for mine, so will ask for you. the early one is the round one right?

Used price in the state for a nice roundy is around 40 bucks.

Cool cruisers of texas has a very nice powdercoated reproduction bezel for $99 US. I was actually shocked at the quality due to their reputation, but I was very pleased with the fit and finish. I imagine shipping to austrailia couldn't be more than $50 bucks for something that light and the way it was packaged was sandwiched between two pieces of 3/8 inch plywood so damage shouldn't be a concern.
