Location
Normandy Park Wa. ........now in San Diego Ca.
I have a ( non- cracked ) factory OEM PTO winch... great condion disassembled and all frame pieces power coated (black) it was powder coated 10+ yrs ago but still in the post powder coating foam packaging... (so new.....old.....new ) ya.. problems I have no idea where the bolts to put it back together again....but probably would have used new anyway....its complete unit.... might even have a shaft around here..... no PTO unit......

What do you boys and girls...see it worth???...dont ever see using it

I like PTO's as a working winch, such as climbing/descending a mountain to get to/from signal local location. I'm too old for that anymore.

Take some good pic's, weigh the box for shipping and post it for sale as an open auction

A complete setup would be 2-3K, but your parts pile (disassembled, without gearbox) seems more like 1K to me. Driveshafts are hard to find, so look for all your parts.

Complete was just for sell here in Finland for 300€.

I have these stacked up in the garage like cord wood. I have four pto winches and two or three of those have the gear. Shafts aplenty laying about. The issue is the pillowblock. It always seems to break or not be included in any purchases. I have bought just the winch in rough condition but restorable for $200. I just bought a fairly complete winch with gear for $500. Typically, in good working order and with everything included, they go for $1,200 in the Pacific Northwest. They get a better price if they are pretty. :)

If this winch is in Normandy Park, for some reason, I would be interested in acquiring it.

Our stories are similar. May started in 1983. Have a bunch of PTO stuff in my collection. Besides the aluminum housing pillow block shifter, flip piece to secure the shifter in neutral. Wedges both larger and small. Also the correct bolts the secure the winch to the side frame rails. Not sure I've the head on the bolts on anything else

Lately moved on to collecting split transfer case PTOs, shifters and drive line. Once the 70 series started those changed to single direction except the few 40 that had them after 10/84.

Reason why is obvious. Hooked on the things. Bought my first factory FST in 1993 and started collecting bits and pieces for those. Somewhere in between it was tailgates.

Ok.....
After doing a parts shed search... looks like I have more than I thought No shifter or pillow block...

Have..
PTO Transfer box
Both long and short shafts
And the PTO winch ...minus assembly bolts... (Id source these but not sure what the end user would want ... Grade 5 or 8 or stainless ??

my phone spent a couple days in the deep end of the pool a month ago .... now refuses to take pictures... so... ill work on that

Ohhh....
Does any one know if there were different PTO transfer boxes....for different models and/or transmissions ???

I'm fond of stainless replacement bolts.

The most common PTO for the 40 series in the US is the two direction mid 1963 to 7/80. After that we're for split transfer case and Toyota never offered one for those in the US.
