Can someone tell me if an '84 4x4 PU ever had an optional "Factory Lift"?

The owner claims that this truck has a 4" factory lift. Can this be true, but the springs are sagging after 20+ years.

I can't tell what size tires are on that, but it doesn't look like 4 inches to me. It has leaf springs all the way around so if it was aftermarket and if it was done awhile ago it would be hard to tell.
That being said, my 81 had no lift, was older and was overloaded almost daily for 6+years while my dad had it, and then jumped, bounced, bonked and generally thrashed by me for another 8 years, plus whoever had it before that had worked it pretty hard and my springs didn't sag, so I doubt that it is factory, but that isn't based on any hard knowledge.
Cheers,
Dan

AFAIK, there was no such thing as a factory lift.

Nah, those trucks were built that way so we didn't have to buy sliders :D
Frame rails work just as well.............except for trees.......and big rocks......and a john deere backhoe :D :D :D

just say no, if he's bee usin it to pull those boats behind it....nah, I'd say no lift.

He says that he is a marine surveyor and the truck was used to tool around the Marina's. Since it wasn't used in the winter and is originally from Florida it doesn't have any rust.

The only problem spot is the drivers floor in the cab. Is this common?

The truck is Florida registered and if I have trouble or problems importing it legally to Canada I will put it up for sale. I think there was a thread recently about a few trucks for sale in the $3000 range.
