Does anyone have an opinion about the quality of these center caps?

http://www.hubcapzone.com/toyotasuv.htm

I am considering replacing (rather than restoring) my factory center caps, and I want to know if these are viable alternatives to factory center cap$$$.

Thanks for your comments

Are the OEM more expensive than that??? :o

New plastic center caps run $57 each at the dealership. Those are made out of metal? I would have bought a pair but my set of 4 off ebay for $60 cleaned up nice with a new coat of silver paint. :D

The chapest I've been able to find through a dealer is (jobber price) $43 each. The factory ones are plastic, and I assume these are plastic, as well.........Does anyone know if these aftermarket caps are of any quality at all or would I "get what I would pay for?"

I spoke with a guy a few weeks back who spent $75 for one center cap for his '94 80. Bought it at the local Toyota dealership. Way too much $$$ >:(

the above linked caps are in thier "used" section, that would lead me to beleive they are original OEM's and would probably in the same condition as your current ones

Like Junk said. Also, have a wire brush and a black rattle can on hand.

The hubs rust w/o center caps. You'll need to paint them or something.

rustoleum rattle can black,
but I have black rims to boot.

My 80 was missing 2 caps when I got it. I paid $150.00 from the local dealer, and then decided I didn’t like the looks of the other two. Thanks to a kind member (MNCruiser) who had a couple of spares he no longer needed, I now have four reconditioned caps that IMHO makes my ride look less getto. I painted the Toyo symbol the superior Emerald Green as a first step in the de golding process. :D

Well, I went ahead and ordered a couple of the center caps from Hubcapzone.com (they only had 2 in stock, with more on the way) The guy said that, although they're listed in the used hubcap section, they're new and of "at least as good or better" quality than the factory caps..........we'll see.......I'll let this group know, once they've arrived
