Marshall,
Didn't see an F thread - if I missed it sorry for creating another one. I just bought a 1971 FJ55, stock F motor with no carburetor. I'm going to tear the wagon down for a rebuild but would first like to get the motor running just to see if I just need to freshen it up or completely rebuild.
Since I'd be looking to you for an F carb, just looking for some advice. I'll mount it up but it won't be on there for long once I start the disassemble process. Can the carb sit on a shelf for a year or so and still be fine for reinstall down the road? Is there anything I need to do for storage? And I guess the most critical question is, does it make sense to have one ordered now when it's just going to come right off?
If you could advise, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
