It was a glorious day to hit some dirt, ya'll missed out on some good times.

Sounds good, pix?:D

I'll try to get pix and no that left side will be attempted when a suitable recovery vehicle is there. My buddies 4 cyl trooper would have had a hard time yanking me out of anything I did to myself in there. But I did do the chute twice and seemed to impress some jeepers with my articulation.

This was my first time out with the OME lift. It was amazing how easily I could get over just about anything. Found I do need some anti-inversion shackles although it wasn't too bad to de-invert once I formed a decent plan. Used terrain to unlod the spring and used a pry bar and tie down strap to fix it.

And for those who don't know, James drives a FJ62.

So you got it lifted now huh? Cool!

I did the chute with stock springs and 33's this past summer. But is was a lot easier with the lift, articulation is where it's at.

Yeah, I had a bunch of broken leaves (prolly from doing the chute) and was pretty much forced to get the new springs.

So how much worse than the chute is the left side, that first boulder makes it look pretty scary.

That's what's so great about 4-wheeling. I WON'T EVER DO THE CHUTE despite seeing many others run it and handily. The cost of error on that is too high for me to attempt it. Go figure though...I did the Wedgie on PSMesa in the 100 and come what may, though the Chute at Chiva is tougher IMO.

The left side on the other hand is tougher IMO than the Chute, though with less chance of major damage so I tried it, liked it, and now do it. THANKS TO GOODTIMES! (Damn Jeeper!) :D

Bottom line opinion: For a LWBase with good flex (55/60/80/100) the risk is small. For short wheel base the risk is higher if you slip. Here's Brian in his Jeep:
