little story...

as we were getting off the trail and heading back into town, i had a bad shake in my steering wheel. I thought to myself, great, my wheel bearings must be really loose. I stuck my head out the window and looked at my DS front tire as i drove just wobbling. I drove all the way into sylva, passed you guys gassing up at the brew-thru (Exxon) and pulled into the advance auto store in case i was in for a treat. Jacked the front up to find that ALL of my lug nuts had come loose and were almost falling off!! Tightened them up and checked the wheel bearings, tight! Checked all the remaining wheels and they were good.

I sure am glad i wasn't a dumb A$$ and decided to hop on the road and mess with the wobble when i got home. I might not have made it.

The wheeling was great, but the social hours really made it a great trip.

I had some time to rezize some pics. I'm planning on loading them on my Wal-Mart account for printing. I'll let you know the cost for the whole set if anyone wants copies. I will just need the address for the wal-mart near you and I can send them over for your pick up.

I'm interested, let me know the cost.

Dude that's crazy glad you decided to fix it right there and then good thing it was something simple :wrench:

Great pics.... I want to go back!

How was the Blue Ridge Lane?

Very scenic, but painfully slow! A lot of 3rd gear use! We spent about 5 hours on it
then cut back over to 81. Stopped for the night and we were only 40 miles north
of Bristol. I'm glad that we drove some of it.

I hear ya Lane... I've done the whole thing on 2 wheels and it is much more enjoyable. We did 200 miles of it on the way down and it took us about 8 hours... definitely not the road to take if time is a factor.

Would be a blast on a sport bike! (I miss my Ninja)
