Hello guys,

We are a couple of Brazilian architects who left the crazy routine of the
city of Rio de Janeiro for a long OVERLAND trip throughout the CONTINENTS OF
SOUTH AND NORTH AMERICA.

We started on Feb. 13, 2011, travelling in a Brazilian car called Troller
(Troller was bought by ford in 2007) toward the city of Ushuaia at the
southern tip of South America.

From there we travelled north to Prudhoe Bay in northern Alaska. Brazil, Argentina, Uruguai, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, EUA, Canada.

We currently have eight months of travel under our belts, and have visited ten countries. A total of 60.000km. To come will be more or less 34.000km and ten other countries to visit.

We would like to share our long journey with the Overland Community. Through
our website you can get more information about us and some photos and videos
of the places we have come through.

Our website is:

Our gallery can also be seen on flickr!

Well, yeah, that plus the fact that Brazilians speak Portuguese.

Edit: and apparently so too does Matt.

Portuguese and spanish are Both from the same source ( latin - roman ) so you may have an idea of the other if you speak one of both ..

I wasn't able to open your pics links ..

Yes, you right I completed mess up, time to go back in the woods :whoops:
But, it's not to hard to understand the meaning of a conversation if you spoke one of the language that Tapage said.

Hello guys,

I'm having so much fun with these messages in Spanish hehehe

Well, in Brazil we speak Portuguese but Spanish is a very similar language.

I forgot to pass along to you the link to our spot.

Glad to hear that we are passed our spanish test and you, the teacher/s had fun with our sentences :grinpimp:
Is looking like you guys are ready visited the Oregon and Portland and published a great "visit card" in your blog :). No Voodoo Doughnut visit?
How your Troller adapted to the trip, any major mechanic problems?
The engine is a Ford engine or is build by MWM like in T4?

Good luck

Hello Cowboyup,

We love the Spanish language, learn Spanish traveling in South America.

Our car has a 3.0 TDI engine MWM International.
You know the history of Troller?

Troller Veículos Especiais - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Our model is the first after the purchase of Ford. He has parts for Fiat, Chevrolet, wolksvagem. It is almost a Frankenstein hehehe.

I have some pictures of him on Flickr did with modifications that basically is all very simple, we have nothing too elaborate in our car. Space is very limited and all is compact.

In fact when you least something better!
We do not need many things to be happy ...

And here I'll give you a link troller in action. You can find several other troller looking for on youtube.

Troller Anfíbio em Gericinó - YouTube

As you can see, the big advantage is the snorkel, formerly a manufactured item, but now the ford sells as an accessory.

We had some problems with the car on the trip, some relays burned, flat tire, broken u-joins, four shocks and the eletric glass don´t work on my side hehehe.
Now when I stop at the toll I have to open the door to pay hehehe

Well, that's it!

Let's get talking!

I know little about Troller and I remember when I lived in Europe to see the Troller on TV on few Africa Rally.
Doesn't mare if Ford bought the Troller, the Troller still be a Brazilian car.
It's first time when I hear a car from factory to have parts from different manufacturers. How they share the profit :hhmm: How the parts are working...hmmm
I saw the pics and it's amazing how good you guys setup the interior in a car with so small cargo volume  !
Maybe a air lift will help with the shock?
I have the same problem with my window and the biggest problem here in state it's when the police stop you, some of them will be not happy to see you open the door at them.

Salut

Bad News Cowboy!

The bar hit the glass and broke. :whoops:

I tried to find a place to cut the glass but did not find, so I ended up solving the problem by placing a plastic glass.

s*** happens ...

Hi Leo

Oauu!!How happen?
Sorry about this? Plastic works too

Hello Cowboy

sorry it took so long to respond.
The glass broke because I put an iron bar inside the door to stop the glass because the glass going down, it is for the electrical system stopped working and. When I closed the door, the iron bar hit the glass and broked. :meh:

Now we recently had another big problem with the car, we put that little anti freeze in the radiator and the water freezes. I was doing a lot of white smoke in the exhaust and the water don´t stop in the compartment. The biggest fear is breaking the head.:bang:
We use a product to try to solve the problem immediately, but I have to fix it before going into Central America.

big hug

Always is like that, when something bad is happen be prepare for the next one.
i am not sure if the head will breaking because of freeze "coolant". i had lots smoke too when I left my cruiser just with water and outside was very cold, almost freeze temp.
will be ok in the end.
how is going with the trip?

salut

Mexico!

Hello, we're a little late with the forum because it is sometimes difficult to reconcile the travel and time ...

Around here it's okay, we are in Baja California Sur - Mexico and we love this place, although it is winter here the heat is always present.
There are many attractions here in Cabo San Lucas, water activities, land and air.

Today we did a tour to see whales, it was fantastic!

Mexico has been a very safe country, contrary to what they say the news on television and I think we have a great passage here, the Mexicans are very hospitable.

We have news on the site, check it out!
