That utility camper is perfect. Keep your stuff from being stolen.

very nice work!

any updates?

This thread brings back so many memories of building up my old 1989 Toyota pick-up. I had to learn a lot of expensive lessons and the neat thing is, after all that crap I did to that truck, including SAS and the whole darn works, in the end, if I had to do it all over again, your set up would have fit the bill perfectly.

I have a Land Cruiser these days, which is a great rig, but the simplicity, economics and pure ruggedness of those older Toyota mini-trucks was just awesome!

In short...great build!

Thanks!
Your old truck was one of the reasons I decided to build up a pickup rather then another Landcruiser. After selling my fj80 I was in search of another truck when I found your website and I really liked how it looked and performed so I started looking for the older trucks.

You don't need that silly camper top, so when you are ready to sell it just let me know and I'll drive over to take it off your hands! :p

Nice build! Certainly different.

Sweet build man. As money permits i'm slowly trying to build my single cab towards the expo side of things.

So how's the truck treating you?

Your build helped inspire my single cab baja truck too, gotta be ready for my trip in March...

*Some of your photobuckit pics are down, pick up a spare account or a gmail/yahoo for a flickr or picassa base to store more in. ;)

x2 - just found this thread. A quick skim through and I like what I've seen - I'll have to come back and read the whole thing later. I have always prefered "trucks" over SUV's. Not sure why :meh:. I am currently building a "B"J45 DD/wheeler/expedition rig (in that order). Definitely more room for stuff in a truck, but less room for poeple.

Still got the Yota?

I saw on expeditionportal that you've built a cool f-250. Did you get rid of the Yota?

Please. Get back when you've got something REALLY unusual. :flipoff2:

That's from a '95 SR5 pickup (or 4 runner), but with the '90 speedo and tach, correct?

I'm paying attention.... I'm real curious what you're planning for armor, and how you outfit that topper.

Dan

i got a cluster like that out of a 94 4runner but tach dont work is it cause it was an automatic and my 94 22re toyota pickup a manual
