I haven’t posted it to my warehouse fire thread yet, but I’ve been busy since the week after Labor Day on a major construction project of my own.

Gutted the bathroom of our guest house to replace 60 year old galvanized with a complete new copper supply and add new plumbing for an outdoor shower.

I hired @tequila4x4 to take care of the pipes, but I did the work to cut open the stucco walls to get to the pipes, and will do all the stucco work to cover it back up again, as well as all the drywall. Having taken down buttonboard/ plaster and replacing it with sheetrock, the clearances in the room changed, and I chose to fir out one wall to meet the dimensions of the new tub.

I also decided to take advantage of the additional depth provided by the firring to make a couple of pocket shelves. It’s not easy to see from the pic, but the pocket over the tub is backed in slate. I got enough slate from @65FJ45 to do my outdoor shower, and I decided to carry the theme through indoors.

Got rid of the crappy, single glaze aluminum slider while I had everything open. Dual glaze, low E vinyl slider now.
