Hey guys

I am a soon to be Hight Desert Member. I need some very simple exhaust work done on my FJ40. Can anyone recommend some shops in Alb?

thanks in advance.

a few of us have used MBS on 528 near Don Chalmers on the border of Abq and Rio Rancho. very reliable work.

Thanks! Can't wait to get the bailing wire out from my undercarriage :(

and if you live on the other side of the mountain, UnderCar Auto earned my biz by fabn exhaust for the rig I was driving 10yrs ago, pre-LC.

They've treated me right through all these years, and vehicles.

Just my 2c.

X2 on MBS. They did some work on my 80-series exhaust so I couldn't smash my tailpipe coming off ledges. You can't miss them - as you come up the hill towards Rio Rancho, they're on the right with a big gold dome on the top. Sort of an exhaust Taj Mahal.

Also, welcome! :flipoff2:

Don't be offended - that's just the Mud initiation.

Feel free to introduce yourself and tell us about your rig. You'll find we've got a friendly bunch of guys and gals in our club.

Jims 66 Muffler and auto on Central and Jefferson or so.

Good stuff! :flipoff2:

Jim's gets my vote! They've done exhaust on the faux-lux, at least one of the Power Wagons, and will do the exhaust on Dad's 40 very soon.

Sandia Muffler on Central does structurally good work for cheap.

I used MBS in RR on Da'40. Personally, I would try Jim's.

FWIW I second Sandia. They have done solid work on my F250, and all of my watercooled VW's. Never had a problem with them.

I took a trip over to see Tony at Jim's and I have to say I was really impressed. They have done work for me before (years ago) and they are still great. My header sprung a leak so I didn't get a new exhaust like I wanted/needed. Once I get a new manifold, I will take it back to them.

Thanks for all the recommendations guys.

There were two FJ60s at the U-Pull. The only issue I could see using the exhaust manifold is you might need to also use the intake from the same truck due to flange thickness differences.

Caught MBS running errands in my truck a few years ago. Don't know if they have new employees or not, but i would suggest anywhere else
