So, for the time being I still have my 2007 LX470. I was in an accident and it appears to be totaled. I won't find out until later this week. I have already been on the lookout for it's replacement.

I've seen a few that could fit the bill, but I'm also considering something other than a LC or LX. So tell me, are there other vehicles out there that you consider to be on the same level as the 100 series?

I've owned 4 of them and feel I know them like the back of my hand. I probably won't stray, but I do want to know what other vehicles come close.

Probably a 200 series for me...I have been very happy with the build quality and reliability....the only downside I see is the hit at the fuel pump...cruisers r great, solid rides...

Sorry about your accident and good luck with the search...

I might consider MPG if I ever lost my LX... probably not but I might.

LS430.

Yes..... I've considered others.... but they are made in Italy and have either a bull or stallion emblem.

Absolutely not. Never ever considered anything other than a LC or LX. And...I can't figure out for the life of me how any other LX/LC owners could consider another vehicle. HELLOOOOO.....we own the best vehicles man has ever made. You can ONLY go down from here.

It especially throws me for a loop when a LX/LC owner actually types the words..."Chevy, GMC or Ford" on this forum. I just don't get it.

I'm game.

A 200 if the price were right (a big if, but you know what I mean).

Second choice - Tundra.

Me too. Don't kill me....but that 30 mpg ecodiesel jeep cherokee....kinda interests me.

I am often tempted to try something else but so far...
04 LC for me
09 Highlander for queen
10 Tundra for trailers...
Oh well..

If anyone gets their feelings hurt when getting 13-15 mpg then you're already on the wrong forum.

If my 100 got totalled again, I'd replace it with a 2004+ Mercedes G500 or G55 AMG. It is a Mercedes so when the luxury electronics fail, they're expensive to replace. But the trucks are solid and last forever.

You have fine taste, sir. I approve

I have thought pretty seriously about a G500 and LR 3/4. Reality dictates it would probably be another 100 or if money is there a 200. Crazy me thinks about a JKUR sometimes... I caveat all this by saying that another vehicle would be in addition to the 100 I already have, not if I lost the current LC.

Love my Lx470 but there is just something special about my G500 Mercedes. I can honestly say I have never driven anything as well built as the G-Class. If the G had 8 seats I would have it instead of the Lx.

^Hmmm, no...

On my second G. This one is a 300GD diesel, four-spd manual transmission. Spartan, but IMHO destroys the 100 off pavement. Not even in the same league, all things equal. Of course, on pavement it's the reverse.

The 80 (with factory diff-lock option) was the only LC available in the U.S. that could come close as far as off-road capability goes, from what I've seen (and having owned two 80s). Actually, it may have beaten the G as it had superior wheel articulation, but it also had to have the factory diff-locks or it would lose.

Still, we have the 100 and will probably be selling the G soon. Can't have so many projects and the boss prefers the cush ride and safety features of the LC.

If they could make them reliable, then almost anything from Land Rover could be considered as well. Or you could opt for an old NAS Defender and just fix the oil leaks.

How about 2014 Tacoma double cab short or long box TRD package or 2013 4 runner trail edition?

jeep wrangler unlimited hard top, im waititng for the diesel engin to get droppeed in them
