@ HJ60 I noticed that HJ61 but usually when the mention in the ad that the engine needs to be checked out I fear the worst.Fact being that they all are rusty and full of bondo makes them ideal drivetrain donors if they are mechanically in good condition.

@ Chris ,yes most have the sliding windows and rear defrosters .I will bring a few parts FRP tops with me if I still have space.

Would like to find a 1HDT for my 60 series. Do you try to snap those up on occasion?

Yes I have one 1HDT with 5 speed manual from a 80 series on the way.Not a cheap combination but plenty of power for a 60 or 80 series.

Speaking of FRP tops, can you get a used one in good/great condition?

I have a few now but no perfect ones,I am gonna cut up a few and bring them with me for people who like to make it look like a p/u.

I probably can find a perfect one here but shipping is a bit expensive, these are big and fragile to ship.

You got some chopping to do Joe, i guess you didn't get lucky and found a T-top :hmm:

I have 2 FRP tops that can be cut up and I have to go see a buddy this week that might still have some of the tops I took from the last 70's I dismantled.

I already found the glass for your top Marvin ;-)

Joe,
I found some good pics of the cable locker bracket. Any possibility you might find one to bring back for me?

I drove Roma's 60 with the 12HT in it yesterday. WOW!

Hi Michael

Those cable lockers are rarer then hens teeth and the European models very rarely had them compared to JDM models.Contact Steve at Cruiser direct he might still have the body with the dash from the truck your axles came off ;-)

Hmmm. OK. I'm thinking about doing a crushers-style hardtop for my 70, but its probably a good idea to try it out on something cheap first since I don't have that guys skillz.

Hey Joe,
I hope your trip is going well. I spoke with Steve the other day and my bracket is in the mail! Thanks for all of your help. Travel safe.

All you folks wanting the 40-series H55 top plate, I know where one is in the USA, Chicago suburbs even. The only stickler is the seller wants to sell his entire stash of parts as one lot. I'm a little short on cash right now or I'd be all over it since it's less than 1/2 hour from me and the price is reasonable. I'd just sell what I wasn't going to need, which would be most of it, and keep the top cover.

Oh, and the seller is on MUD, too, user https://forum.ih8mud.com/members/skign.97034/
