I should kick myself for spending an entire summer there and not bringing a bike I did occasionally see a crew of DH'rs around town so I knew the goods were there somewhere. I kicked with some gnarly BMX dudes with a wicked, GIGANTIC set of dirt jumps hidden in the deep woods. These guy's were always drinking and going huge.

This is a great video. Thanks for posting it! I need to get back there someday I'll have to bring a bike and a Cruiser though.

G*d damn, that is awesome! I was in Alaska for my honeymoon in 1987, but stayed on the mainland. Those trails are now on my bucket list.

We debated about going to Kodiak Island (we had MTB's too) but did not have the time we wanted to explore it..

Beaten up? Maybe not, but probably muddy. Sunny days in Kodiak are kinda rare. Lots of wind and rain there. Nice video.
