While they are in there tearing it apart, it might be worth replacing some other hard-to-reach components. Thats what I did when i took my LC to CBT.

I was talking to Murf about head gaskets and what he had seen, only two people have done this as preventative maintenance and the rest have actually had a necessary replacement.
I would also consider having the injectors serviced and check for other oil leaks.

Sorry to hear about your issues. Last thing you want right after you purchased a vehicle is to have problems. Hate to see money that could go into mods go to repairs instead.

He said that the head gasket has been leaking for 2 years with the amount of wear there is on the head and block. Portions of the block has been etched out due to the leaking and there isn't enough left to machine both the head and block.
That sucks man. have a few of these
