Bummer that's the same thing that happened to me. Stopped at PepBoys for a secondary long shot, no-go. Your emblems are making even more sense now. PS - have you ever done a 100 series cup insert mock-up? I've taken to using koozies to help my drinks not slide and tip.

Your a month too late. I sold my 100 last month so I don't really have one to use for mock up. I drove the 100 for 2 years with 3 kids and never felt like the cup holders needed much improvement. The front cup holders never hold things very snug but I also never had a drink spill. Maybe a grocery store water bottle would tip over.
I've only had bottles flop out so far. Little deeper would've been good but it's serviceable. I'll get on the site this week and check out your emblems as well. Thanks.
for you guys with white lx's, did you get the labels to come off really clean? i just took the v8 label off, got all the adhesive off and clean, but there's still a bit of a footprint. i can't tell if the paint is etched or if it's just residue deeply embeded in the paint. i've hit it with about 6 applications of cleaner wax, and this is about as good as i can get it.

Any of you guys removing silver LX badges and want to get rid of them? Mine came already debadged and id like to add them back
A little medium rubbing compound removed the outlines on my LC. Swirl remover should work as well.
How are you guys removing rear badging? Heat? Razor blade? Other? Thanks!

Same way you'd remove any vehicle emblems. My method is remove with fishing line (add heat if needed), remove all the residue using an 3m adhesive removing wheel, then finish off with a buff and polish.

Did you use any adhesive backing to put the emblem back on, or just the screws?
For the front toyota grill emblem I twisted out the guide pins (2) with pliers and got some thin all thread and small nuts. I epoxied the all thread in the guide pin holes and let dry.
Then you can take the emblem off whenever, for paint or whatever. Plus you don't have to use any emblem tape. I hate that stuff.
A note about eraser wheels - They last a very long time. I've had one now for ten years and at least 10 cars.
You can use them on the emblems themselves to get the goo off also, you just need two hands on the piece your buffing, and be careful. It just saved me an enormous amount of time on the third brake light leaking issue.
Then you can take the emblem off whenever, for paint or whatever. Plus you don't have to use any emblem tape. I hate that stuff.

Much to my surprise and obvious JOY, the new rear emblem I bought for like $15 came with the adhesive backing already in place! It was a miracle!

I am replacing the trim piece right above the license plate on mine. I tried striping the chrome and painting it, but it's fugly....what kind of glue, adhesive, tape do you guys use to put trim back on? It has to be replaced because I sanded the hell out of my paint so glue would stick...glue oozed out and it's kinda crooked. I think I need to reevaluate my life...
