Hey everyone I have run into something I can't solve.
Here are the issues: 1st the dash lights do not work. 2nd the HVAC system does not work anymore. 3rd the tail lights do not work. 4th the doors unlock when I press the brake pedal.

Checked all the fuses they are fine. And checked the brake switch it is also fine.

I don't know if these are related to each other but I hope so.
If anyone can help me I would very much appreciate it.

Fusable links at the battery.

Would corrosion on the link cause those issues?

Do you have an aftermarket alarm? Is the battery grounded to the chassis?
No the battery is not grounded to the chassis it's on the stock position. And yes it does have an aftermarket that was installed by a previous owner. It has never worked since I have owned it.

The battery is supposed to be grounded to the block and the chassis from the factory, if it's not grounded to the chassis you should do so because that could potentially cause electrical issues. My guess is your problem has something to do with that alarm though. You should get a new fusible link too.

Okay perfect I will get those things done and let you all know if it fixes the issues. Thanks guys!

Turns out my alternator was dead. Put a new one in and everything works fine.
