Color is nice! How about recessing the charging port and using the old vent as a door?
From someone we know well in the battery dept of a major US EV company the battery settles off the 100% and they were seeing cars at 150K a few years old go strong to 350k+ miles..... We basically use the same chemistry in a VDA format battery ...I agree, the layout and build is well done. Do you guys a battery decline curve for diff batteries or for the one in the 40 ? I ask because my 300 mile range has decreased to 268 in 3 years and I have taken proper care of batt/charging and have very low miles. Just curious what the expected range is ?
I love what you guys have come up with so far. It seems to me like you are trying to keep the appreciation for what these vehicles have always been while building an ultra modern drivetrain. Which seems like it would be an impossible task.
The main question I have is what can someone expect to pay for the crate motor? I understand there are many other associated costs by the time we would have a running driving EV FJ40 but interested in whether you have an idea on crate motor cost.
Period correct may have included shag carpet and formica counter tops too... Stuck with the original color on this one and it grows on us for sure..... Not meant to be a "green" driver but rather a daily use performance ride! Thanks for commenting!!Wow awesome work, fit/finish, attention to detail - top notch. Green not my favorite color.
