I want to send money to you, but I am not sure about the grommets and ties...You mentioned that Corbinwelter was supposed to pay for the grommets and ties, and I would pay for the shipping, but I'm getting anxious. Well, i just picked up my black canvas top on Saturday....thank you SB!!! To those who dont know the extent SB is going to in order for you to get your top, you should know he is going up and beyond the call of duty to say the least. I know my wife would not be so understanding having s***loads of huge boxes and parts laying around everywhere.....

The 45 belongs to a friend of mine who is still looking for a good tailgate.
He even has a eshan top on his 40, very good work in any belongs.
If i would ever switch my rig to OEM look this would be the one!

The actual *Tailgate* is a wooden board......the 45 was from the danish fire brigade, the spare seems to be a old Dunlop Roadtrack Major 7.50X16 what used to be OEM in germany in 1977.

Nope.....the tailgate on the 40 ist fiberglass, i thought you meant the 45.

i finally got my camera stuff together so i can post a couple pics of the bikini now.. like i said i'm not too stoked on the way the corners were designed.. as you can see there's no "corner pocket" sinch (or whatever).. and the fabric gets pulled real tight along the seam too.. it doesn't look like the bikini pictured earlier in this thread.. on that one the corners look good.. anyways not trying to air my dirty laundry out here.. I LOVE the full top i got from Ehsan last year!

looks like you need to pull it tighter. Can you wet it down and pull it around the corners?

canvas shrinks when wet...you would need to warm it up inside the house then try to pull it down.

nope.. if you could see it in person you'd get a better idea.. there is no pulling it over the corners.. the seam would tear first.. not enough fabric and no "corner pocket" sinches (ANYONE WHO SEWS OUT HERE know the propper terminology??
) like on the regular tops.. i'm familiar with canvas.. and yes it stretches but it isn't elastic..
