I have a '91 FJ 80 with the EFI overheat problem. The prior owner had wired the EFI main into the CDS fan relay (I can figure out why either) , I am assumeing the small red wire is the reason the relay overheats so how would I re wire that wire? can I just bypass it with a wire from the battery?
I am considering putting the relay in the cab away from the heat of the engine and I could wire in a quick connect so it can be swapped out fast ( like when it wouldnt restart in the emissions booth!)

All you need to do is remove that small wire and replace with a bigger gauge. No need to move relay, and fix that fan wire rigged in to it.
