anyone have any experience installing EFI on an original F engine (69)?
Any suggestions, ideas, recommendations welcomed!

I am currently installing a holley sniper on my 1972 F engine. AFI has a tune for f engines for their tbi kit.

Would. Be interested in knowing results- install difficulty for instance. Are you having to install a stronger fuel pump? Fuel economy changes?

AFI's kit should fit. Just put this on my '78. They use a modified 3F-E distributor and an electric fuel pump and various sensors, etc. Not a trivial install, but not rocket science. On sale, and with extra bits, I spent about $1300. Still checking fuel economy, but that was my last reason for doing this. Big seat-of-the-pants power boost, however, and turn-key starts. Search on the various threads both here and in the 60-series forum.

6T9, take a gander at ebay #263568336163, it even includes the instruction manual that tells you how easy or hard the install is. Pay attention to the copy that explains the extra parts you will need.

Thanks so much. Can you share with me anything you know about fuel boost? Several years ago I put in solid state ignition. Will that be a factor?

Much appreciated. I won't be doing the work myself- have an old school technician that is a wizard. Better to have him do it than me!

We always recommend using the 1978-87 Toyota Landcruiser Distributor (modified) since it has a sine wave signal that works with the GM electronics.
