So I’m thinking abt the ebc extra duty pads an hd slotted an drilled rotors $927 to my door vs the stoc lx570 pads an rotors 603-5 ? ... I have the Toyo at3 285/55/20 they are 32.4 inches tall 11.7 wide an weigh 45lbs each ... would like some feed back . I have gotten 95k out of stock pads an rotors almost metal
To metal on front now with stock michelins . thinking abt towing a 16 scamp with it to mountains

I can't speak to this setup on the LC, as I won't do brake upgrade until likely end of year or early next. However, I did do this setup on another vehicle build(RAM HD truck). This truck was a pretty extensive build and the brake upgrade was one of the best bang for buck and noticeable improvements. It was night and day from stock and the new rotor/pad setup had much improved brake pedal feedback, modulation and shorter stopping distances. As a result, I will likely be doing this same setup on the LC in the future.

Ty for feed back

I think ima pull the trigger on ebc pads an rotors now

I’m not a fan on slotted or drilled rotors aside from 2 piece (preferably carbon) on my track cars. Slotted/drilled rotors do not give an advantage for one time stops or even in normal road driving and lessen the overall integrity. For street driving solid rotors are superior for heat resistance and dissipation.

I pull a 6800 lb camper a least 10k miles a summer all over Alaska and northern Canada. When it was time for rotors I did OEM rotors with extra duty pads.

Like @coleAK, I also have a racing background. You learn from that hobby pretty quickly what is real brake hardware vs cosmetic brake hardware.

No drilled and slotted rotors for me, unless they are designed from the ground up from a pedigreed source. Otherwise, they are cosmetic details applied to generic blanks after the fact, that create real risks for stress fractures to arise from.

OEM blanks with more aggressive street pads for me.

EBC claims their rotors are made from premium blanks according to their website. Thought they were drilled an slotted. They are dimpled an slotted. I run aerospace calipers and aerospace rotors that are drilled and slotted. I could tell a big difference but I was using 80’s brake technology on my Buick
