Hello! I searched in the forum for easy and scenic Moab trail recommendation and found several threads (pasted below). But I'm looking for a bit more specific info on scenic trails rated 1 to 3 on a difficulty scale of 10. Planning for a trip to Utah including a couple days in Moab soon and hope to take my LX470 offroad a little bit, but I'm not ready to get the bumpers all scratched up or have to take off the running boards yet. (But will do these sometime in the near future :)

So I guess I'm looking for trails with difficulty level no higher than 3 out of 10. Oh, also I'm not terribly afraid of heights, but with limited offroading experience and having a winter trip, would like to avoid super narrow trails with too high of dropoff on the side.

Based on previous posts, Tower Arch, White Rim and Chicken Corners seem like suitable ones? Any suggestion on other trails would be appreciated. Thanks!

Moab in Jan w/ my 2000 LC. Will it be too much snow? (Easy trails)

I have Charles Wells book on Guide to California Backroads. Haven't bought the one for Moab yet. One limitation is it may be hard to tell how scenic the trails are from reading the book, if going there for the first time.

Fins and Things - easy and awesome. Most will agree its an awesome trail thats fun and not too challenging

The Shafer trail from Moab to Canyonlands is very scenic and an easy drive. But it's been many years since I've been on it. I did it with a stock LC. We also did the 4-wheel drive road out to Tower Arch in Arches National Park. We did scrape the running boards a bit but no significant damage. We were complete novices and probably didn't pick the best tracks over the rocks.

Fins N Things might scratch up your stock bumpers and running boards. I did it, but have armor and a lift. Your stock truck could do it, but might not come out pristine like it went in.

Thanks all for the great information and suggestions!
Scratching up the bottom of the running boards is totally fine, as long as it doesn't cause damage to the body. I'll remove them at some point anyway :D

I'm actually going to Utah this Jan! Started one of the thread on your OP. I found a couple trails that should be easy enough.

Here is the trail I'm planning to run. They are all semi-connected. I planned it so it'll be a nice scenic drive, nothing hardcore since it'll be snowing in Jan and I'm traveling alone.

Chicken corners and fins and things. I did fins and things in my 4Runner with UCAs and toytec ultimate lift and 33s and chose lines carefully and still scraped just a tad. Perhaps I underestimate the stock 100 platform but I wouldnt attempt it in my stock 100.

There are ways to go around one or two of the steeper parts iirc though.

Of course there is that YouTube video of all the stock land rovers going through hells revenge, perhaps I’m a novice wheeler in general... (I am)

The roads in canyon lands are easy and remote. I wouldn't say fins & things is scenic.... it's fun and cool, but more like an amusement park ride.

Canyon lands was awesome, we did that too. Definitely worth a day there. I can’t remember the trail but kids and wife were very happy on it.

Look into White Rim Trail. It’s long, but nothing beats its scenery.

I’ve only done the trails on bikes so sometimes difficulty can be lost in translation. I’d guess the hardest part is the deep sand on the one end. I don’t remember anything too difficult.

If you want scenic, and easy dirt road, i'd start from Moab and hang out there for a few days then trek through Utah's Mighty 5. I plan on doing that
