Only on the industrial level. Never seen on like that on the homeowner scale. They are the cat's a$$ over a reciprocating unit. Interesting.
 
I've been around them in industrial uses. They are definitely the way to go if you need continuous air.

I've seen demonstrations of the Eastwood unit. It runs quiet and seems to work well. The only question is longevity. They did the R&D and have a Chinese company making the units for them, but it's hard to say how they'll work out in the long run.

They're a little low on CFM for what I'm looking at (sandblasting in particular), but they've said once they get this one sorted out that they are looking at doing a higher capacity one. I will note that they are already on the "gen 2" version. I'm not sure what changes were made from the initial unit they were selling.
