ok trying to figure transport:clap: anyone beable to tell me the weight of a '62? i am thinking 4100 lbs is what i saw for my '77... am i on the right track?

Great! Does this mean you made the deal ?

Does not look to bad at all...can't wait to see you start the resto

still working it out... the wife is a little cheap... which just gives me the exuse to try to talk him down more... i think i might just get it drivable for now and drive it while the weather is nice and no salt on the roads. and then resto when my lv is done... priorities right?

Sounds like a plan.

Again, looks pretty decent, so I wouldn't try and be too cheap...would be a shame if some one scooped it out from under you for a couple of bucks, and then turned around and chopped it up for some rock crawling.

Good eyes! How 'bout the horn relay, could be original with the wire bale holding the cover on...

Doesn't look like a clear cover on the relay tho.

just saw my 62 for sale

I am actually the owner of this '62. I've owned it for about 2 years now. It is a great resto project. I bought it from the guy and his dad who have owned it since the early seventies. It has 37000 original miles and has been registered for off road use only for the last 30 years. It was a hunting rig and they used the 2x10 on the back to stand on while someone drove them around looking for game.

It actually does run and it runs very well. Starts right up everytime. It needs brake work like any other land cruiser. The rear wheel cylinder on the pass. side leaks all the fluid out after a few weeks.
the master clutch also leaks after some time.

the floors are solid with no rust.

i have had this on craigslist for $2000 for the last few months. I've only had a handful of calls on it. (very unusual). They usually sell within a day or so.

Anyway, I have decided to go on with a rebuild/resto due to the lack of interest.

I have owned lots of land cruisers and this is by far the most stock unmolested cruiser i've owned. I'm currently driving an 81 fj40 as a daily driver.

When i get deeper into the 62 project i will make sure to post pics and updates.

thanks
