Looks great. Any rub at all? I have 275/70-18 Toyo RT Trails on Methods (likely will get put on the stock wheels, and the Methods will get 285s and go on my Sequoia) ready to go on our 1958 as soon as it lands. Momma no likey that kind of rubbing, so I need to be sure to not offend her sensibilities. :meh:
275s are on. Zero rub. 2” F&R lift arrives Monday. I have to say, the Load range E Toyos didn’t change the ride much. They must have had a LOT of pressure in the s*** baloney skins they ship these things on. I am still shocked at the crap tires that Toyota installs on their supposed flagship SUV with dif locks. It’s criminal really.

For frame of reference, below is the factory tire that came out from the spare tire location recently on a 1986 BJ60. I used the factory wheels on my ‘97 Tacoma with some 33x10.50 murders.

If this is your off road use plan, may I asked why you bought the Overtrail +??? Seems counterintuitive. Wouldn’t a more street or luxury trim level make more sense?
I prefer the looks and the ability to eventually be my travel rig to our place in rural northern Michigan. Didn’t want a third row due to being empty nesters, never using it in the 200’s I have had and the Labrador retriever needing space w the luggage for the trip. I hate the feel of 20” and larger wheels and i hate dealing w curb rash. I have my Rivian for commuting. I have my 80 for off-roading. It have my 200 for everyday stuff w more wear and tear. I prefer a more off-road setup for safe driving in winter roads. I like a more truck like feel.

The reasons go on and on.

I love this forum. Where else can one be insulted by someone (who has the keenly developed sense to call themselves 'poop bubbles' no less) for being able to afford to make one's own choices?

Let's break this down.....me not wanting to beat the hell out of a brand new $84,000 purchase while also having a long list of personal, practical, and legitimate reasons to own the vehicle suggests I am short on sense and should not have purchased the vehicle.

That makes about as much sense as calling oneself 'poop bubbles.'

I thought it was a legitimate question. And you answered it. Your reasons are all valid, although they only need to make sense to you.

And you are correct about poop bubbles. What an odd name. Mind you, he seems to be a blend of Bill Cosby and Donald Trump, so maybe it’s an appropriate name?

I recently bought a fancy, electronically-controlled, professional-level Stihl chainsaw. I have only 4.5 acres, don't log commercially, and have wood as backup heat only. I could have spent half as much on a homeowner grade saw, but I make enough $$ that it's worth it to me to get something nice, rather than something cheaper that will simply not be as good. It's light, powerful, starts right up regardless of temperature, and is a joy to use. I've invested thousands in other things like Milwaukee and DeWalt tools....cheaper would certainly do, but I'm past the point in my life where I no longer need to stuffer through using cheap stuff to make ends meet.

Otherwise, why not forego college, career, investing, etc and just be a bum. I work hard so I can have the things I want to have.

I like nice things too. Owning 3 land cruisers and a Rivian just screams "guy with too much time and no real hobbies".
I wouldn't say I have much time at all.

I'm an Architect and a real estate developer. I founded my firm almost 20 yrs ago and have worked my ass off to build it into what it is today.

But when I do have time, I take advantage of it.

I've also managed to have several hobbies and interests, one of which is vehicles.....and more specifically Toyotas and Land Cruisers.

Not sure why any of that is so triggering to good old 'poop bubbles.'

Because Poop Bubbles is just one example of what is wrong with the world and the internet. Due to the anonymity this forum allows, they thinks it’s funny to stir people up (AKA a Troll). Their parents probably ignored them as a child, so they find joy in causing anger/frustrations/annoyance (insert whatever emotion) in adults.

I’ve ran the following sizes, both E load range:

275/70R18 Toyo AT3

285/75R17 BFG KO3

Both have a very comfortable ride, some of that may contribute to the Radflo suspension I have. Slightly stiffer than stock. My fuel consumption if you average both tires sizes is around 19mpg. I’m perfectly fine with that number given the speeds that are driven in the DFW area. IMO, the 275/70R18 is the sweet spot.
