anyone know the best place to get it?

I just totally stripped the back of the 80 out and plan on lining it with dynamat as i put it back together.

Lots of Dynamat and other sound deadening mats on eBay. Others have used roofing material as a cheaper alternative. Though I do not know of it's effectiveness.

I was thinking of durabaking the floor and using dynamat on the side panels. Thinking it would help hold temps inside the cruiser nice and steady while deadening the road noise which i don't have much of now anyways. I'll google it.

depending on exactly what you use, it will get mighty stinky (like hot asphalt etc.) when it heats up...

for Dynamat and many other brands of sound deadener, check your local car stereo shops also. You might find one with good prices (you have to keep shipping in mind, the stuffs pretty heavy)

www.partsexpress.com has pretty good prices on sound deadner. Ebay is pretty good too. Locals are OK sometimes. Also there are lots of generics that work pretty well. Something to consider when using dynamat. The whole panel does not necessarily need to be covered to gain sound deadening. You can use strips.

I didn't realize it was heavy. Looks like padded aluminum foil, but what do i know. I was going to stop by a stereo install place after work to see. Good call on the stink. Didn't really think about that. I just have all the carpet and panels out and feel like i should improve somewhere when i put it all back together. Thanks Chris.
