Yes...

yes, for sure. the seal rides in the block and rear main cap. dont have to drop pan to replace rear main seal.

Did they do the oil pan gasket?

here's some pics but I pulled my oil pan and rear bearing cap as well

make sure the seal goes in right way round

I am doing the oil pan seal anyway as it is old and decrepit

I would recommend you to wait until the oil has to be changed and change both the seal and the oil pan gasket.
