Anyone running these? Review of qaulity, function and install? Eager to finally get my caster right as I just ordered new Ujoints front and rear and want to do both this coming weekend. Plates seem like the right direction as I'm running OME Mediums and 1 1/2 inch spacers and will likely be bumping to 850's or J's once my new front bumper arrives (anyone want to trade, pm me). Feel like plates are plates are plates... these are a significant savings from any others I can find at $100.

Man-A-Fre is no longer selling LCWizards' 4Plus gear AFAIK. Rumors have long been circulating that MAF is going the way of the dodo. As for the plates, eh, why get into making another "me too" product?

They use to carry Slee's plates...

Bought mine about 2 years ago. Pretty sure someone else other than Ma-A-fre sells them. True they are about twice as much but they are bulletproof. Some of the caster plates kits specially if your truck is lifted more than 4 inches, you still will need those offset bushings. I had them and they only lasted 18 months. That's when I decided to go back to OEM bushings and the brackets. Problem solved...

OK.... well I wont end up over 4 inches with all the weight I'm adding I'll be lucky to be 3". For now I'm only really concerned with the plates I mentioned. I'm just asking to make sure I'm not saving $50 to cause myself a bunch of problems. @maxamillion2345 care to elaborate? If not publicly then a PM would be greatly appreciated if you truly think doing business with this supplier would be a bad idea.

I've purchased other items from Duiser without incident.

Dave still sells product under the 4+ label. John

Aside from all their snide posts...

Post 215 and onwards gives a pretty good summary of why I would avoid them just on principle.

Will you get screwed on caster plates? Doubtful, but unless the savings are drastic I'd probably find another option if it were me. 50$ is 50$ though and I wouldn't blame you if you did in spite of all their uhhh well yeah. :hillbilly:

God, what a mess. Feel bad for the guy that bought that rig. I know in the past I have watched the Duiser/Jonesey Swap threads and checked out their site with the trucks for sale. Had always thought to myself, gawd if I had the money (because I would never have the time for a swap like that). LOL glad I didn't, Seems it would have been easier and cheaper to just do it myself. All that being said, I will be buying SLEE plates when it comes time. I know Christo is not one to ever do business like that, and that alone is worth spending the extra $. Thanks for the heads up it was a very easy decision once I saw the bit about the loose flexplate, let alone the stripped flywheel bolts. I've been a wrench a long time but my first day on the job that would not have been anything I would have even dreamed of doing.

Back to my search for the perfect solution, I'll expand a bit on my plan as I am really unsure of my next move.

First thing is, I'm very happy with the setup of my truck right now (sits level) aside from the darty steering caused by no caster correction and the 851's plus 1.5" spacers. It is plenty tall to clear the 315's and it performs exceptionally offroad.

Second is that I just ordered a big heavy front winch bumper and a Dual Swing Rear with Spare and 11.5 gallon fuel transfer tank from DC Fabrication. The spare will always be on and the tank will be full 90% of the time. Once the spare is removed from rear cargo I will be putting a fridge and OBA in its place.

In short the Medium lift will no longer be sufficient. I need some help. I want to achieve a overall height about the same or a tad taller than current and fix the caster all at the same time. My first thought was to go heavy front and rear, leave the spacer up front order plates and be done. But after looking over many spring, caster, drive line vibe/DC Threads...:bang: I'm thinking I would be better off with J's due to likely not needing the DC Shaft because of:

A. All the Weight so it wont be as tall as a lot of these other trucks running around with this setup
B. Barely getting enough caster adjustment with the plates to compensate for J's and the spacer thus keeping pinion angled up towards T.C.
C. I'm feeling lucky:D

Another option obviously would be J's (ditch the spacer) and Heavy rear. If its too low or caster adjusted too much with plates causing vibes I could always throw the spacer back in and trim packer the rear to level?

What do all the heavy haulers think?

Get the weight on it then decide?

Get the plates on now, then the weight (to see if it negatively affects drive vibes or steering feel)?

Knock over a Kwik E Mart and order the Slee kit... no money for that.

Normally I would just trial and error but time is at a premium and I have to be ready for 5k mile expedition in June, so a guaranteed solution that doesn't involve a DC driveshaft would be ideal. ( I know, I'm cheap and broke due to a wedding so I'll do nearly anything to avoid that added expense since I'm already dropping over 6 Grand in upgrades over the next 3 months)

older thread but looking at these caster plates however they state 3.5 degrees of correction while all the other caster plates say 5, are they all about the same? they look the same, not sure why these would be less correction? $100 versus $150 is nice considering they are just plates. I have J springs

I would call Slee and buy the plates from them... support and quality of product are superior than the competition.

A friend and I both did business with Duiser. Won't be doing it again.
