Dont see many here that are not white, obviously a respray.
This one is fairly old ,mid 80s FJ/HJ75 I think,I can tell by the rear door hinges,a hangover from the 45 series dual cab.
Its good to see someone is caring for them. Most were transport for shift workers in mines or their maintenance crews and are pretty beat up by now

interesting, but i can't say i like it as much as some 4 doors i have seen...

They were never built for their looks. I think a shorter tray would look better though, normally a tray comes about 12 inches past the chassis.
That one is probaly 2 ft

interesting
i think there patrol skinnys too
it has 75 series ute door so must be a full extra cab sonversion not a troopy chop
the rear half of the cab or the extention really does make it look very aged

I dont think the WA body builders ever chopped troopys into dual cabs, that was more of an east coast thing

They were chopping patrols into dual cabs in the G60 model

I still see a few of this type around Darwin, I like the rear door setup but it is a strange looking unit isnt it.

I would love to have the know how to chop my troopie up into a four door, BUT... Im not that good a metal worker..

All our old underground duel cabs were troopys chopped to keep the high roof so when you jump in you dont hit ya head but the orange 75 ute got a high roof anyways, :hmm:i got told they were done/chopped in kal
but lots of people have lots of yarns when you work away;)

i seen a nice neat lic 75 ute the other day but had his roof unbolted but the rest of the cab bits on was pretty funny maybe he didnt have aircon in it:D

A lot of the dual cabs here have an aftermarket high roof added. It gives the height of a troopy.

Ive often wondered what a convertable 75 series cab chassis would be like:hmm::D

Looked cool as 10 cool things
not sure if the wind going down the freeway would put much presh on the rear window and maybe pop out... i guess the tray could catch it:D

there is a factory 4 door 75 series kit you can purchase with a highroof.
i have come close a couple times to picking one up from the auctions in Japan... they just didn't do it for me so i passed but... who knows, maybe one day just for giggles.

Any pics of this factory toyota kit or links of detailed info mate?

i had all hte part numbers at one time, you can contact Dave at JAPAN4X4 and see if he still has them on file.
sorry.
