What’s up guys, I’m trying to figure out the issue myself instead of bringing it to a mechanic, because we have a new (foster) baby and I can’t afford the time to take it to a mechanic for several days and be down a vehicle. So I figured I would ask you all for some help so I can diagnose and fix it myself.

I have a 2010 GX 460, and the panel on the driver’s door is not allowing me to lock or unlock the doors, or roll down any of the other three windows. I can roll down the driver’s window, but I can’t just push it and it auto goes down or up.
You can control the windows on the other doors from their specific door. But the auto up and down does not work on them as well.

I’m not particularly skilled in diagnosing electrical work, but I am able to take apart doors and replace parts, change, fuses, and swap out relays, lol.
I did try to diagnose the issue and see if it was a fuse, and in my research, I could not find an exact fuse that would describe the issues, but I did try to take out whatever fuses I thought were pertinent, and they were not blown.

Any help is appreciated. Cheers

I asked ChatGPT, give it a shot?

Although this doesn't cover the lock situation but it's my shot in the dark.

Thanks for the response… I will give it a shot.

I did get a new battery a week ago because it was doing weird electrical stuff (interior dash lights cutting out at night, center screen resetting) the battery was at end of life. So it would not surprise me if this is a reset issue. It didn’t happen directly after replacing . I will try tomorrow.

Honestly, this vehicle is the most gremlin prone vehicle I’ve ever had! Always crazy electrical issues that go away by them selves or disconnecting battery!

OK, it didn’t work. Although that trick did help the other three windows roll up and down automatically, it didn’t help the door panel functioning on the drivers door.
My research continues… And if anybody else has any ideas, just let me know.

Have you pulled the door panel off to see if any of the plugs that go into the that window/door lock/window lock panel are either loose or broken?
You may just have some wires (plugs) that came loose. If not, you may need to replace the control panel.
For help on removing the door panel and identifying parts, refer to the FSM from the sticky posts on the main forum page or click here: GX 460 Manuals
It will be the second post. It's kind of weird how it works, you'll have to do a download, which downloads ALL the PDF's, but you have to use the internet for the menu to access FSM.
