Only have one fob. :(
Just a suggestion, get another FOB from wherever, Lexus, Amazon, etc. that is not programed, then get the programing software (TechStream?). This way, you'll have killed two birds with one stone.
You'll have a second FOB and you'll have the software to do all kinds of cool stuff to your rig!
Albeit, at a small cost... But for myself, it was worth it when I had to get another FOB.

Only unknown here I am not sure on key programming is how well it works with one that is failing on the radio side and requires putting against the start button during program sequence. Hopefully it doesn't require a full reseed setup with new keys

Agreed, my response would only apply if it is just a FOB issue and not the receiver/electronics on the vehicle.

So we're going to try my TS setup to see if we can diagnose / fix this.

I have a spare FOB that I programmed for my truck - is it possible to program that FOB for MrTorgue? Or do we have to do the whole "seed" process?

Programming the FOB was easy, but the seed stuff looks complicated.

I've only done a new FOB so far, never reprogrammed one.
I have reprogrammed them with my old 100 series, but that didn't involve software, just a strange combination of door opening/closing with ignition on/off and door locking/unlocking. It's kind of a crazy "dance" but it does work and a easier/cheaper than having to use TS.

Yeah... those FOBs can't simply be re-associated with another vehicle they have reset/re-seeded. I've never had to do that.

We both decided I’ll get a new fob (I’m buying two) and program those all at the same time and also check TS for any codes IF I continue to experience my issue.

Fun fact, my fob works again and all is back to normal this morning. I just wonder if the fob itself is the problem.

Another note, we had a huge rainstorm overnight and I had no water inside the cabin. Still going to clean my drains but I thought I’d mention it.

Hopefully it is just the FOB.... and having a backup is always good. My 460 only came with one FOB so purchased another before the Smart Card MOD came out so have 3 of them now. You can have a total of 7 IIRC

7? Excellent.

That's really great news to hear that it's back to normal!
I hate that sinking feeling when things are amiss with my rig, especially electrical issues.

Just some side notes here.

If you ever need to replace the sunroof seal or adjust sunroof positioning via the T25 screws

FWIW for preventative maintenance if you don't have your own air compressor, Carmax charges like $70 (or they did in December 2020) to clean the sunroof drains on our CX5. I assume the GX would be similar since it has a normal sunroof.

We live in a neighborhood with a lot of trees so this is like a once a year maintenance task. I'll find out how much that price has gone up in a few weeks after all the leaves have come down.

I experienced this in the car wash just about an hour ago, it wasn't a lot of water but it appears to infiltrate above my head. Timing was perfect I slid open the cover to watch it go over and BOOM, right in the head. I just checked and my passenger side a-pillar and floor are wet so I am guessing the front passenger drain at least is clogged or very slow. I opened the sun/moonroof all the way and nothing was sitting in the top nor does it look like water has sat for any period.

As a Highlander owner as well (and for future readers), one thing on the rear drains. If you are clearing without disassembling do not use compressed air on the rear drains. It could cause the tube to come lose at the upper drain and then you'll have a real mess in the future. I think 9/10 times it's just the fronts clogged anyway, but beware with the rears.

Check the passenger kick panel under the glovebox in front of the door. There's a ton of modules and wiring spaghetti down there.

I don’t recall in my 6 years of ownership anyone reporting clogged rear drains on the 460

Front drains, windshield seal, or severely compromised sunroof seal allowing more water in than drains can handle
