Pretty tough decision... My thought is if I end up "buggyizing" my 60 is to run the body with a little tube until its pretty much hammered then pull the enitre tub and replace it with a chassis similar to the idea of an F-toy and skin it with 60 panels cut to fit the chassis... doing that way I can continue to make small upgrades over time on the 60 and eventually it'll just turn into a buggy. just another idea though.

Anyone Got Pics Of The Tan 60 Thats Bobed And Doved In The Front

I like that green 60 from texas that is back halved with the tube.... I think this is it but has changed?

Yulp, passed him on the trail about two years ago. Even then I dint like the doved front, just my 2 cents though. There is also another dovetailed orange 60 out there on D60s. Got a DVD with it on and have seen it floating around the net.

I think there is a chance to make a dovetail look good but again I have yet to see it and I think it would be a lot of work.

Plus, I kinda always was one to get the front end thru a section and not care about the rest of the truck, so I would just driiiiveee onnn thruuu. :D

Sheet metal went to raisin after a few years and now its skinned tube.

I like the idea BUT it would block half the radiator I think I would just put round light like a KC or something there so the stuff that hold the stock head light could just go

Hmm good point, didnt think about blocking the radiator.

I dont see much gain, im in the process of chopping the fenders on my truck and the limiting factor in uptravel is that body mount for the core support. If you did away with that, then i could see the dovetail being worth it because then you could really suck the front end down and have it be looooooow. Other than that i think you are just making more work for yourself. I mean, its not like the sheetmetal is straight, you have already past the point of no return.

I dont hit the mount but when I wheel I have hit the top of the fender over the head light on trees ,rocks and I could remove the big bump stop if I get rid of some more fendor. so I'm un sure what to do looks like everyone wants me to do what I was goung to do any way... just run it :steer: and see what more I can re move on the trail

I'm pretty sure I'm going to add tube but not necessarily to protect the fenders/sheetmetal but more to help "slide" over and around stuff rather than getting hung up on it.

I'm super busy at work today... :)

My vot is to do it like this, maybe narrow it a bit around the indicator and headlight to give you some more clearance.

if you go the pic you drew up, it looks too buggy, you need to keep the headlights and the 60 corners so it looks like a 60

Paul

ps Lowtide, you have been promising pics of this revamp for 6 months. Post em up slacker

go look at Denny Mann's bugy..
