Ok, I give up! I've looked thru the FSM and the online parts catalog and CANNOT find the door seals for the front and rear doors for my '05.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Yes, but I found it in the IPC. The illustration was kid of odd, so it looked like some other trim piece. If you have the p/n's that would be great. Thanks.

Also, I realized the weatherstrip on the truck body around the door opening is part of the trim piece.

Just trying to fix the wind noise at the top of the driver's door. Probably need to tweak the door alignment as well. Looks straight and true to the rest of the truck but probably is not as tight as it was seven years ago when new.

Im getting the same noise. All the weatherstripping looks good. Be sure to post if you are able to cure the problem.

Is there a separate weather strip around the door? Should start with 87861 or 87862 (LF and LR). I can look them up tomorrow and get some part #s.

I got all four seals ordered, but the online parts catalog doesn't list the Toyota part numbers. Just had to study the parts diagrams and discrtions really close. This is what I ordered:

Collision Catalog - 2005 - Toyota - LAND CRUISER
body hardware, front door, door & components, door wstrip Left 1 $37.61 $0.00 $37.61

The best part is install labor is all me!

Clean the jambs and then thoroughly coat seal with Vaseline and let sit for a few hours with doors open. Then wipe the rubber seals dry. If the hiss persists I HIGHLY doubt it's the seals.

My $$ is its the windshield side A pillar seal. Tape it up with 1.5" green masking tape. From A pillar to glass covering the gap.

Good luck.

The wind noise I have is in upper rear corner of the driver's side door window. The seals in that area look worn and weathered. Nothing is torn or pulled out of the channels.

Going to replace the seals first and then look at adjusting the door so it closes with more clamping force up top if the wind noise persists. Of course, I have no idea how to do this.

I only hear it when driving thru a heavy crosswind, which is year-round in Texas, Okla and NM.

I have the wind noise in exactly the same place...interested to see what replacing the weather strip does for you....

I was able to get my wind noise lessened by shimming out the gasket using a sucker stick my kid conveniently left on the back carpet. It's back now, so it must have fallen out.. but try shoving something behind the gasket in that upper corner then see if the sound changes.

That reminds me, I filled a section of a seal in another ride with black silicone and it fixed that issue.

The new door seals seem to have fixed the wind noise. Easy to do and parts aren't too expensive.

I also tightened up the hinge bolts on the driver's door. Don't know if that helped, but it made me feel better.

That's great, I've had the same issue with my driver's door for a long time. I've tried shimming the gaskets with marginal results. Looks like I'll be ordering new door gaskets. Thanks!
