So do you guys have the same number of cup holders in both of your 60's?

There, now it is Tech again. If you don't believe me, go to the 80 section.

Oh yeah, I've been to the 80 section and seen the "tech" discussed there, like heated side view mirrors and such ;)

I have 2 cup holders:popcorn:

The one thing that keeps me from buying an 80 series is that I would make fun of myself way to much. I own 2 Jeeps and I keep catching myself making fun of me about it.

I have two cup holders in my 60 as well.

Yup, my best buddy has an 80 and I make fun of him all the time for paying attention to all the creature comforts and little luxury items that weren't even an option on the 60s. Still nice trucks, but I bought my 60 because I love the simplicity and the other guys who have and work on 60s work on them,

I was thinking about using the "drill bit mod" (whatever that means) to add a single DIN cup holder to the center of my dash. Think it would look good?:D

Hey hey hey now. I have BOTH a 60 and an 80. My 80 kicks my 60s ass in every single way. Its been hard to love my 60 with the pain and aggravation. But now that I have two cup holders, I'm much happier. :flipoff2: you and your creature comforts :D

You don't have enough :banana::banana: to even attempt the drill bit mod. Its NOT for the faint of heart :flipoff2:

That's blasphemy in this section. The 60 is CLEARLY a better truck :p

Yeah, you're probably right. I'd be too afraid of dropping my drill bit into the intake of my engine:flipoff2:

That said, I still voted for your version of this whole tire story.

You're 60 would've at least made it up the Gorman hill. Your Lexus can't even do dirt roads and you're last adventure in the snow with it got it stuck on the bumper. I think you're 60 needs a little more use to prove it is way better for off road.

Oh, Snap!

Joey can drive your 80 and Randy drives the 60.

Take Pics!

and spare tires.

 *Both you guys owe me a bottle of air and a fresh cup of coffee as I am now cleaning up what I spit out while LMAO!! :D

FWIW I too like Joey's version better. :hillbilly:

First off dirt roads are just fine. It apparently doesn't like inclines. See the LX knows that the latte may spill so it takes precautionary measures :flipoff2:

Second off the LX got stuck in snow because the spare was under the truck and acted like a plow. And that issue is now moot. :flipoff2:

And so yes, I will agree that my 60 is better then your 62. :grinpimp:

BTW, how is that starter treating you?

I must admit that your LX is better than your 60 in one and only one way, and it's that $300 booster seat mod. It's pretty pimptastic

Let's call that problem with your LX climbing inclines the "Latte Ascent Protection System" or LAPS, as in my 60 will make laps around your 80, oooohhhhhhhh.

I knew an 80 series owner would drag the cup holders into the conversation.

That must be why there are so many Cup holder threads in the 80 series. People want to By-Pass the LAPS system or pull the relay at least. :D

Fixed it.

HAHAHAHAHAA!!!! My co-workers are starting to worry about me laughing so much!!

Reasons I could not vote for Randy88Fj62's version of the story and my concerns about the version:
Old tires failure. OK, is it possible he was late for picking up the GF at the airport and created this elaborate story to cover his ars?
Picking up GF at the airport, so, tell us about the GF, please tell us she was not a parcel post delivery and is she inflatable?
Speeding down the interstate in the fast lane in a 20+ year old landcruiser (sorry, that's a call to ripley, do you really think he would believe it?)
He owns a 62; a 62 is an 80 wannbe, no shame in wanting an 80 but the 62 looks like it ran headfirst into a chevy van and kept the headlights. Next thing you know, he'll want cup holders.
But hey, I'm on the east coast, so what would I know . . . . :hillbilly:

Us east coast dwellers know what we're talking about, don't doubt yourself. :smokin:
