How long it's been DOM around offroad world ..? and what do you guys used before DOM .. not only for bumpers .. for links, cages and all ..

i'm guessing that's suppose to read 1.75X.120 DOM, if so that's a great price...

Yes it is 1.75X.120 and it was patton metal solutions

common on... your in calgary... its going to be hard to get a really good price on DOM unless your buying it by the ton... everything is expensive there...

a group of wheelers here actually bought it out of the states and was considerable cheaper.... after shipping they were still at half the cost it would of cost them here on the island... of course they have enough for 3 tube buggies..

IMHO, HREW is the most cost effective material for bumpers and sliders... I just don't see the point of using DOM for anything other than roll cages and tube frames. Unless of course, cost is no issue ;)

X2

scrapy bits and pieces.....HREW (Schedule pipe)

My sliders are 1.5" sched. 40 and haven't bent or dented yet and I wheel a lot.
My 1/4 panel protectors will be Sched. pipe as well

Roll cages.... DOM

For this part of the world I agree with hrew , but if you say lived at the hammers and continually dropped you sliders into rock all day long, you would have some pretzelled up tube.

Couple local guys with Zuki buggies have dented and bent the crap out of hrew 120 wall and are moving up to DOM.

Guess you could used pipe, then you need a pipe bender as the OD would not be a true measure...

Well I got some DOM, and I got it built. The new bumper with the 8274 probably weighs less than the old without a winch on it.

And .120 wall is plenty for those wondering. Thanks for the advice!
