Why she is Margaret Thatcher

Took advantage of a few warmer days a few weeks ago and got some of many brush piles torched. It's one of scout's favorite things to do and has been doing it since he was a pup. Last summer he spotted my neighbor a few houses down having a fire with some friends and broke loose so he could join the party. He's a bit of a Pyro 😆

Crate training hasn’t gone so well

Metal option next or just relinquish the couch 🤷‍♂️

I don't understand that. Usually dogs rapidly come to love their crate/kennel. We have a metal one and put blankets over it and it is Lela's "go to" safe space. Do you use treats to get into the crate? When we crate trained her we used the high value treats to get her to do it, but she willingly does it now

Agree. Previous 3 pups learned to love it and went willingly even with door left open.

She was good first day with crate in closet.
Second day chewed outta crate
3rd day chewed outta second crate

Just glad she didn’t injure the recent spay incision.

But…..buddies

Aka doodle teaching her all the bad traits lol

Some dogs suffer from seperation anxiety and then they act out. My little guy that we rescued suffers from it. It's their way of showing you that they're upset you left them alone. Jesse likes to chew buttons off of my clothes and chew on wood furniture. I love it when I throw a pair of jeans on and I find the button missing 😆. I had a bulldog that would rip her bed to shreads when I crated her.

Try putting a piece of your dirty laundry like a sweatshirt in the crate with them so they have something with your scent with them. Dogs need a lot of exercise as well. If you able to let them run for an hour before you leave for the day, it will tire them out so they just sleep.
