Dogs ate my 2nd row seat

I love my labs too and would do anything for them, but the safest place for them in your truck is in a crate in the back. If you get into a wreck they are far safer there than bouncing around in the back of your rig. Oh, and it keeps them from chewing stuff too ! ;)

Speaking of that, what do y'all recommend for crates? I've got a plastic one from the pet store that's OK, but definitely not the most secure and can't really strap it down (it wants to oval out).

Spresso's the guy to talk to there!

JGray or others:

My dog ate my third row female side the seatbelts. I have looked a couple of times at online parts catalogs and have not been able to find them. Have yet to call the dealer.

If anyone has access to a junked 100 with tan interior, I would be very interested in making it worth their while to pull those to belts/connectors out of the back seat.

In my case, an XL crate fits pretty snug behind the middle seats. No room to really go anywhere so I don't strap it down.

Hey all

I just need the upper tan plastic panel from the back of my 2002 100 driver's seat, due to a mysterious half dollar size hole in it. If someone wants to split up a salvaged seat PM me!
And BTW I'm on my 3rd black lab and he hasn't eaten any car parts yet! I think every LC should offer labs as a factory option.

Does Toyota not carry factory ones anymore?

Try bitter apple, spray it on what you dont want them to eat and give them one spray in the mouth...they wont eat it again. Crates are safer but my dogs like to hang out the window and I get a kick out of watching them have a good time.

I will say that's the really nice thing about the 4Runner... roll-down rear for pups.

my yellow lab was a genius and an amazing gun dog. he did however chew up $3500 in hundreds i had in an envelope above the rear view mirror. managed to tape together about $3000 of it. my black lab is a lovable idiot that has a worse nose than me, and couldn't mark a bird to save his life - but he's lucky he's absolutely great with my kids and if someone approaches the front door (me included) it sounds like there's a 200lb rottweiler barking and ramming into the door at full speed, so i believe anyone intending to break in, even though they would be met with licks and slobber, would move on to the next house.

My lovely dogs ate the top half of the leather off of the 40% side of my second row seat. First they chewed off the canvas seat cover. I am wondering if replacement skins are available and what they will cost parts and install. Anyone else have retarded labs for pets?
Turn it in to your insurance. One of our dogs ate the rear seats and tore out all of the curtain airbags along with the ceiling liner of our car a few years back (she was in the car alone for literally the amount of time it takes to walk two blocks, order coffee, and walk back). Insurance covered the whole bill minus the $250 deductible.
