I was draining the coolant this evening and once the level got to a point an alarm started to sound! Is this a stock set up or aftermarket? I do have a 110 plug in engine warmer that someone added at some point. Maybe that? Either way, I thought it was pretty cool!

Yeah, it is called a temp gauge.

How did it get power? Did you have the key turned? If not, I suspect it's wired hot off the battery or hot terminal on fuse box. I'd hate to loose a battery when this thing is parked - of course, if it's lost coolant than that might be worse.

The key was out of the ignition so it must be hot wired. I thought it was a pretty nice feature. If coolant is pouring out that fast then you are right, it's a bigger problem than the battery going dead!

I have no idea where the sensor is located. I will dig around and see if I can post a pic with my findings...
