We've actually been adopted by a dog at work. "Chucha" just wandered in one day and has kept us virtually rabbit free for 3 years now. Her wages are company bought health care and food.

Husker would rather stay home lounging on the couch.

Yes. Occasionally. She'd far rather stay home and sleep on my bed so that she can watch out the front window and bark at the mailman. She likes going to the office too but finds the floor a little too hard to sleep on. :)

I take my shep. mix atleast once a week, I'm aiming for every day, but won't be doing that until my lab passes away. I can't take the lab to work because she thinks that I work at National Fetching and Throwing Tennis Balls, Inc. She constantly wants to play fetch and has for 12 years.

Before my black german shepard passed away, he went to work with me everyday...scarring the life out of my clients who had never been to my office before. The UPS guy loved to tease him and they got along great....

I'm lucky that I own the engineering firm...because none of the other places I have worked have been dog friendly.

I used to take my dogs to work (I worked for a dog toy manufacturer in CO).

Now....not so much; I am in the corporate world of wall to wall cubicles, BS meetings etc......

Yes, I miss my old job!

When I had my own business, I used to bring my dog in. He had a couch job like shown above. Now days, no dog friendly work, but we bring the pup just about everywhere else.

BTW, I wonder if Matlock carries his dog in his backpack along with his throwing knife when he works? :grinpimp:

Should have said.

Family owned

Distribution Company

I work for my family distribution business too...we sell ice cream machines...i'm the 3rd generation...

I've thought about bringing my dog to work, but haven't. mostly because then everyone else would want to bring theirs too...plus i've got enough distractions in my day ... namely MUD!

what do you distribute?

:) Nice pup
one guy i worked with brought his dog every were , he was the shop dog .

we trained him to attack one of the mechanics because we hated him , it was perfect .

he had to stay in the truck when he came to the mines though and watch .

Textiles and cruiser parts.

Argo used to come to work every day when I worked at the canoe store.

I would take him along about three days a week or so depending on the job and the homeowners, when I did the remodeling thing. He is good with math and knows how to run a nail gun, not much of a tile setter though, something about not having any thumbs...

These days, he stays home because I'm not sure he would be much help in selling real estate, he thinks he knows it all, but I don't believe him, he wouldn't take the pre-license courses with me, because he was miffed about some stupid law that we have that says dogs can't be real estate agents. He does fill out all my forms though and he still likes tax prep, so I guess one could argue that he still works, but he is more of a stay at home employee these days.

So far, he has gotten into a little routine, he gets up around 7, takes a dump, then he puts on his little green visor and jumps right into working on my Schedule C. He always fxxxs up the coffee in the morning though, so I still have to do that. He is good on the phones though, he has a real way with people...

I dreamt last night that I worked in a lab and had to bring the dog to work one day. Then later in the dream I had to bring her to church for some reason.
