Does this look like a old 60 series arb bumper?

I'm trying to identify this old arb bumper I picked up for my montero. I actually had to buy 2 swb monteros to get it then realized it was hacked from some other rig. I was a tad disappointed, but it still fits nice, and will just need a bit of love. Unfortunately, neither of my 9k or 9.5k superwinches fit in it. I'm guessing I will need to source a old m10000 or get creative with notching the frame rail and bumper quite a bit for clearance the motor

I'm just curious what it may have came off of. The closest thing I could find was a fj62 with a real familiar bumper. It's more curiosity then anything else at this point. I figure you guys can tell me if im right or wrong.

The previous hillbilly who installed it had 1 bolt and a bungy holding it on. Apparently they had a torch though!

I spent a few hours looking, and the closest thing I could find was a old fj62 with one. Thanks

Yes it's the older style ARB bumper. I had one

Older style is on my truck, but the design is fairly different.

I cant quite see the mounts, but looks very similar, btw, fyi, those places you have the shackles are not recovery points.. They were not designed for it, they are designed for a hilift jack adapter that arb sells to lift off the bumper if you didnt know

link to the part

can you tell me the numbers off the drivers side inner side?

I've got a chopped up version of the above one as well and I can say that those spots are definitely not for recovery as the PO bent them all to hell.

yeah, I was looking at those spots thinking, man that is a very wimpy recovery point, then after some research, I found it's actuall;y designed for an atatchment arb makes for jacking with a hilift. That rig looks great btw I think my next build will probably be a 62 or 62 after I finish up this montero.

On the uprights of the bumper there is actually two bolt holes on either side. You can put a recovery point there.

Mine does not have those two holes for recovery.
I like that idea
Must be a different build than the ones ARB sells hear in oz.
I have not seen that large tongue plate sticking out the front either. Is it for external winch mount?
We call these things roo or bull bars over here too.

I have seen the same bumper with no winch hole either. Unless someone has a catalog from 91-95 I doubt we will know the options.

These are the holes I’m talking about.

The front part sticking out is for a roller fair lead on the winch.

Mine doesnt have them either. That large plate is for a warn m800/m10000 roller fairlead.

I guess according to arb you are suppose to run them with the roller style as it provides some rigidity. I will probably just go with the roller over my hawse since someone jsut gave me a warn roller thats new for free the other day.

Interesting, I don't have the holes. I'm curious how this is the metal where those recovery point holes are at? I may have to add those to mine.

It seems this isnt a 60 series bumper after looking at the different angle and width at the recovery point area.

Any chance you can give me the inside frame mount to inside frame mount measurement? I have a friend who is thinking about buying one of these new to put on a mighty max, if it's close enough we are going to go for it.

The holes for the recovery hooks are weak imo. I've bent the steel plate where the hooks mount. I don't trust those points.

Ever since I shoe horned the M12000 in there I can't use them.
