Does anyone know what these holes underneath my rear plastic bumper are for on my 2013? Am I missing a piece that's supposed to be mounted there?

There's nothing but empty space above the holes. I don't see anywhere that I could attach bolts to.
Are you the original owner? If not, previous ones may have had aftermarket bumpers that they kept when they sold the truck and forgot to put everything back.
Or maybe there was a fender bender in the past and whoever did the repair messed up.

I am not the original owner but your idea that it may have had an aftermarket bumper is a good one. No accidents on car fax but that doesn't mean it wasn't in one potentially and just not reported. I'd be interested in purchasing this piece if anyone has a part #.
