i had a guy leave a note on mine today asking if i would like to sell the toyota jeep~ :rimshot::slap:

hes looking for a 4x4 project so i offered him my 91 proper jeep thats been hibernating in my garage but i told him i would ask around about a fj if he promised to join a wheeling club :hillbilly:

so if anyone has a budget project they have to get out from under i can offer middle man:flipoff2:

I have a neighbor with a white 40 parked in his yard. Hasn't moved in 8 or more years. Has surface rust on hood that wasn't there a couple of years back. Doesn't look bad from a distance, but needs to be rescued. I will enquire, get more details and post up.

Awesome thanks!
hopefully you dont knock my door hahaha but my rust isnt on the hood~

Looked at the 40 today. Date of mfg - Dec '76, thus it is a 77. The paint is original with a lot of surface rust with no rot. The owner has owned it for over 20 years. Last registered in '04. It has been de-smoged and I don't know when it last ran. Tires hold air and battery was missing. Manual steering but has A/C. D/S seat is not original but original is available. He has a replacement for D/S side window. Mileage appears to be correct. He is 2nd owner. Pics are here. http://s1094.photobucket.com/user/tlca1/media/77 FJ40/PICT2114.jpg.html

In my opinion this could be made a runner without a lot of effort.

nice patina

Looks like a nice project only problem if you need emission this one been stripped. That will be a problem in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. 77 was one of those years that was loaded with all kinds of crap under the hood. Other then emissions 77 and 78 were great years for the 40s.

emissionsland is my current location with the 78 in my driveway

hes very interested but wouldnt know what to value it at , he'd also like to know if itll turn over and run or not since its soo far off,

nice guy but i think hes alittle slow to how this works

if you could ask a ballpark and pm me the owners answer ill let him know, or i can send the owner the phone number

being a Siamese-middle man is hard :hillbilly:
