you guys get miles per gallon!!!

I'm jealous :p

If I was sure my:

gas guage
odometer
tachometer
speedometer
pedometer
gas pump
taxes
temperature
barometric pressure
and
tank capacity

were all correct, I might bother with it. :meh:

disclaimer: all the variables listed may or may not be used in the calculation of mpg

Does anyone make a lift kit for the Toyota Prius yet? I need to trade this gas hawg in...haha!

The recent 500 plus mile round trip to Nashville netted 16.8.

I wouldn't be concerned with it. There are plenty of dupes out there with Lexus SUV Hybrids who bought it because the window sticker and sales guy claimed it would get 33 on the highway. Guess what; not a single one of them ever got better than 21! Oh and they won't go off road; I mean really off a road.

I've been getting about 14-15mpg on the highway. Before i was troubleshooting the smog system, it was 10-11. Funny though, I get great gas mileage going down the Grapevine, but coming back up it goes to ****. Hmmm.

not sure you should be comparing your carb'd 60 to a 97 4 runner as far a mpg are concerned. That's why they stopped putting factory carbs on cars a long time ago.

Just picked up my 62 a couple months ago. Got it home and took it apart so I havent driven it much. The 500 mile trip home on the highway averaging about 65 - 70 mph over 4 mountain passes yielded over 18 mpgs. The Yeti is a 1990 FJ62 with a 2003 5.3 chevy vortec and auto tranny, 4" lift with 35's. Mileage was confirmed because I was following my wife who was in my stock, company supplied, 2005 work truck. This also showed that my odo was off about 15.6% off. Which is probably why the seller thought he was getting 13ish, obvious to me. Agreed I am cheating with the newer non Toyota motor but it's what I got, and that was the question. Just a geek sharing some info.

after 12474.8 miles and 58 fill-ups these are my numbers:

Average 14.4

MAX 17.8
MIN 11.4

wow, I am a GEEK

Geek here too

Radio Goat (Toyota Land Cruiser) | Fuelly

269 fill ups, interesting to see the increase of mileage over time as I fixed, rebuilt, enhanced things

I lost 2 mpg by going from 3.73 to 4.11 diffs I need the H55 5 speed

and do 12.5 when the trollhole carb works, something is the matter sometimes and runs too rich, then runs normal. (I LOVE the trollhole carb,
and seeking to find out why I have that issue)
