That does not equal most users experiences.

It is all about intended use, if you drive the Cruiser like sports car, then are going to go through brakes. It is a heavy rig, not designed or intended to be a sports car.:hillbilly: Most that I work on, wheel with, use them as DD, wheeling/camping rigs and get several times that life, even from stock pads.

Yes. I agree with you. Driving style definitley matters and there are upgrades to address those issues. Those same upgrades can benefit folks who experience similar shortcomings (Obviously I am not the only one) whether due to towing, driving style, terrain, atmoshperic conditions, or whatever.

The OEM brakes are very good. I never said they weren't. Dual pistons calibers from the factory rock so I tease when I say a little girl will be fine with them. Really it is more about me (and others) being harder than most on brakes. One of the first upgrades to any car I buy is to improve the brakes becasue I am one of those guys who eat them. I don't drive around town cutting people off or anything stupid like that, but neither do I typically coast for a 1/4 mile up to lights or stop at yield signs. I'm a late braker (if I have to brake) pulling up to the light or turning, but I know my vehicle and it's capabilities well.
 
300,000 plus miles,heavy use, brakes no problem. All stock. MIke
