Got my low buck street cruiser aligned yesterday and there was a little play in the drivers side front wheel bearing I hated to just "tighten" the nut with out new grease and really didn't want to pull everything apart so I made a jack leg "slee" grease gun..... 4" of radiator hose a solid rubber plug for one end with a 3/8 hole drilled in the center for the grease gun nozzle some rubber cement and a couple hose clamps.. Works like the Slee tool except you push the radiator hose on the hub and clamp with the hose clamp.... The hose I used was a very tight fit... And pump in the grease like with the slee tool... Worked perfect .... Less than 30 min start to finish and that included building the "tool"

Nice, but what exactly did you grease with it? The spindle bushing/bearing? You mentioned wheel bearing play and not wanting to disassemble to grease/tighten that? The Slee tool threads on the spindle threads and forces grease into the spindle bearing, not the wheel bearing. Did you end up greasing and tightening the wheel bearings too? That requires disassembly.

Probally less time than the Slee tool. Unless slees design has changed you need to remove at least one spindle nut to get enough threads to screw the tool on.

Ponytl do you need to remove the spindle nut/s to use your tool?

As for speed the LCP spindle greasing method is up for the challenge as being the fastest.

Yes bent tab down removed outter nut then inner nut. I had a plumbing socket that fit. I assumed the inner nut tightened the bearing? I
I built a couple like this some 10+ years ago with 1 1/2" pipe welded to a spindle nut, and capped with a grease fitting. It has worked well for a # of years on many different models.

wow that is exactly what I was going to do... I even found that a nut from a large electrical conduit fitting would work... but then the radiator hose idea hit me... and was far faster than cutting welding drilling threading... yours is a MUCH better tool but... I've done so much with so little for so long I'm qualified to do anything with nothing...

x2. I'm confused how you forced grease down the ID of the spindle but managed to grease your wheel bearings?

:D

I think I'll still prefer the threaded design like Slee's, having the hose clamp slip and blasting grease all over the place and then cleaning up does not sound like much fun. I like the tube welded to the nut DIY though @Odyseuss, that's slick!

x3 that this is how you lube spindle bearings but does nothing for the wheel bearings.
