Given the topic...

Has anyone considered pulling the clutch & fan out and just installing electrics? They work great on my LS1 and it has a bigger engine, smaller radiator & two little electric fans.

With a proper shroud and two low profile electric fans & motors... Why not?

Grench,

Do a search... well covered.

I'm with Doug and you should replace the radiator, It is the last piece. These things live all over the world in much harsher environments than hauling americans around and they seem to survive great. Stock!

Everyone has jumped on the bad fanclutch band wagon :]-
don't leap wihout thinking.

i view the new rad as the leap without thinking. I know from back to back test drives that my old fan clutch (likely original) is doing a better job of cooling my truck than my brand new blue fan clutch was doing. I want to get the fan clutch right first. if i still don't like the temp then a new rad is next.
